The Whole Point of Satire
Looking at the email I sent regarding censorship, I realized that there is a much deeper purpose behind my work here. The power of satire exceeds my abilites and its effects cannot be quantified. Looking at the cover of the Lampoon, it feels quite poignant. A baby looks around concerned, in a sea of hedonistic college students (drinking, smoking, kissing).
Deerfield is not Harvard, but the two share similarities.
In the words of the “Vanitas” article, we must take philosophy off the page and apply it. And that is the whole point of satire. There must be fruits for the efforts of satire,
